The title is taken from the Neil Young song "Traces" and the line "Between the lies of the age" slightly altered from Neill's "Words (Between the Lines of Age)".
I don't even like Neil Young that much though, he's OK
lyrics
Did it seem off to you
Did it seem strange
That I would not follow
and that I should change
Well it's traces
Between the lies of the age
Did it upset you
Did you want to cry
When I had to tell you
All your friends would die?
It's shadows
Between the crutch of a lie
Can you sleep soundly
Can you still dream
Without seeing their bodies
And hearing them scream
John E. Miles is one of the best songwriters out there. Check out "I Went Out To the Darkness" and "Owl". His production style here is also very innovative and unique. Chris Dryfoos
This record will take you on a very cool trip. I love the minimalistic and highly atmospheric tone. It's like walking through a rainy forest by yourself. Just listen to a track like "Sunflower"! Chris Dryfoos
