Follower 02:58
To be all ever knowing Though we change still not growing What we feel never showing Only lies ever knowing In the sea of never feeling Doesn't death seem so appealing In the citadel of dreaming Unaware of unheard screaming Flashin' lights which are beaming Through the eyes never gleaming Though the gold the scent is reeking Only truth is what i'm seeking You are the follower I am the messenger They were the conquerors They know I've come to meet her All along the wayward skies Of the innocence which dies

Traces 02:57
Did it seem off to you Did it seem strange That I would not follow and that I should change Well it's traces Between the lies of the age Did it upset you Did you want to cry When I had to tell you All your friends would die? It's shadows Between the crutch of a lie Can you sleep soundly Can you still dream Without seeing their bodies And hearing them scream It's darkness Plaguing the eyes of the dream

Can I get a witness To borrow back my time Can I get a witness To keep me from the crime Can I get a witness To pay off all my dues Can I get a witness To end this awful muse Can I find a woman And make her sad and cry Can I find a lady And tell her some sweet lies Can find an answer In the darkness of the night Can I find an answer In the air beneath the kite Can I know the reasons Why people cheat and lie Can I find the reasons Why others live and die Can I get a witness To see the rising sun Can I get a witness To let me know I've won Can I get a witness that I can call my friend Can I get a witness From now until the end

The laughing eye is a frame of mind Sorting through phases of mazes inside The laughing eye shines brightest on thee And those who can’t learn but yearn to see Chorus: Laugh, laugh, laughing eye Don’t expect me to cry Laugh, laugh, laughing eye Never ask you don’t know why The laughing eye feels out of place On a suitable face but it leaves no trace The laughing eye burns from within It's hot to the skin but it's colder than sin Chorus The laughing eye is a frame of mind Sorting

Wrecked 05:33
Are you feeling wrecked Are you feeling dead Have you ever checked What's in your head The soul of a man Sheltered in the shadows The strength of a hand Reachin' through the morrow Are you feeling wrecked Are you feeling dead Have you ever checked What's down in your head The soul of a man Sheltered in the shadows The strength of a hand Reachin' through the morrow Are you feeling wrecked Are you feeling dead Have you ever checked What's down in your head

Untitled 03:25
Backwards tables lyin' on the floor They're staring uncaring asking you for more What are you to them, you're just a pigeon or I don't know what you're thinking But you better turn the page There's a dreadful thing inside of us What our parents, they call rage Lying in ashes scattered on desert sand Invest in evil and you lose your command Well don't look now they've lost another man Is this really what you want? To live in lies and dread The shadow's on your wall and you're bleeding from your bed The water spouting siren sings the song Of why he's always right and never wrong Are you brave enough to follow him along To the grave of paradise where dreams go when they're done Where it's colder than the icecap but hotter than the sun Well don't be afraid to be inside that land Where black is white and music plays the band Where evil's searing flame melts thru your hands Where shadows reign supreme And you lose your control Of your body mind and spirit Your very mortal soul

Driving down a dusty road Looking for a new abode All around me a desert scene Only brown and nothin green Sun is beating down my head Starving but I've just been fed Traveling with no place to go Genius but so much to know Goin' back to box ridge canyon That's where my baby used to say She saw a native settlement Just over 15 miles away Goin' back to box ridge canyon That's where a man can roam free Goin' back to box ridge canyon Will you still be there for me Drivin down a narrow road Carrying a heavy load Sun so bright sky so high Sure of nothin sure am I Saw you standing in the rain Nothing lost no more to gain Together still but still alone We venture to the outer zone Goin' back to box ridge canyon I'm going, going, gone

Never been a song for a place so cold Where ground was scarred as men searched for gold Never been a place where the people go Into the night way down below Never was a time when you could turn back As oil rises up like a shadow black Never in this world was a place so bleak Where man was dead and the strong were weak In the morning comes the sun The grey begins and the dark is done The cold merges it into one Frost it comes on a frozen shell Encasing all in living hell You take a shot at birds that fly Into the ever-darkening sky And in the shadows, your mind rots Ensnared in corrupt living plots The body's frozen and the soul is caught The grey makes it seem all for not In the morning comes the sun The grey begins and the dark is done The cold merges it into one

Famine 03:07
Black dirt frozen from the snow Worthless toiling to never know Struggling to make crops grow In the fog it's no scarecrow Turning back on a bleaker night Tryna think about what's right Starving child your own son's plight Miss the turn and you see the light Struggling hard to work the soil Burning fires left to broil Smoky stew the beans in foil Pain like a snake in a bitter coil See the broken family's death The father's gone, the son's on meth The little girl named Mary Beth The youngest child draws her last breath Still, the rain falls from our skies Still, the tears run from our eyes Still, the starving children die Still, the leaders tell us lies Are you mad at what you've seen? At all the youth that could have been After the bloodlust got obscene After the young bones were picked clean On this Earth, it's hard to wait For soil to grow and choose your fate While black clouds cover all these states And the dustbowl echoes at our gates Elders on the mountain said We need a while to rest our head So let us all now go to bed Underneath the shining shed (come on)

Memories 02:55
When I cross thru that old valley Thinking bout the days gone by I recall memories of you And I stare and wonder why I recall our times together Days we laugh and sang and played And although my heart does linger We both knew I couldn't stay In the fog of my old memories I recall all of the times When tomorrow was forever And it was so very fine Thru the bookends of this story All the conquests and the tales The theme lingers of this journey And my friends who never failed As the fire slowly subsides And the stars shine in the sky I will forget none of my friendships I'll watch 'em grow until I die
